Google has finally unveiled its much-awaited Pixel 10 series of devices. But alongside that, it has introduced several new features and modifications to its first-party applications. All this is done to improve the software experience of the Pixel devices. One of the notable announcements was the addition of NotebookLM features to Pixel Screenshots and Recorder.
Pixel Screenshots gets NotebookLM integration, can now identify content on the screen
Google is adding several AI-powered features to its stock apps. It was earlier reported that Gemini is now getting directly integrated into the Google Translate app to aid its accuracy. And now, another powerful AI tool, NotebookLM, is integrated into the Pixel Screenshots and Recorder tool. This integration was announced during the keynotes of the Pixel 10 series’ launch.
Thanks to the upgrade, Pixel Screenshots will now be able to identify if the content on the screen (of which you want to take the screenshot) is a good fit for a notebook or not. Users will be able to directly add the content to the NotebookLM app, just by clicking on the specified icon.
The feature is live for Pixel 10 series device users. The AI experience settings must be enabled to get hands on the new feature. Once enabled, users will see AI-powered titles, summaries, and suggested actions of the on-screen content.
Users can now add transcripts from the Recorder app to NotebookLM
If you have a recording and want its transcript to be directly added to the NotebookLM, you can now add it directly from the recorder app itself. The transcript would be added as a new notebook in the app. It would get the AI-powered summary and title as well.
Both of these features are currently announced for Pixel 10 series devices. Google has not yet disclosed whether the older Pixel devices will get the new features or not. But hopefully, we will see the rollout in the coming days.
